Remove this account from this device

Clears the locally saved account and local Meshii data from this device only. Your Gao ID account remains active, and other devices are not affected.

Delete your Gao ID account

Requests deletion of the Gao ID account, profile, and associated account information under our control. This action is global and may affect other Gao products that use the same Gao ID.

Open Meshii Settings and choose Delete Account to begin the deletion-request process.

Follow the confirmation and identity-verification steps shown by Meshii. We may require verification that you control the Gao ID before completing the request.

We will confirm receipt of the request. If processing requires additional time, we will tell you what to expect. We will also confirm when the deletion has been completed.

Subject to applicable legal and security exceptions, account deletion affects information under our control associated with the Gao ID, including:

• The Gao ID account and profile.
• Meshii connections, invitations, blocks, preferences, and registered-device records.
• Active sessions and authentication state.
• Account information and server-held service information associated with the identity.
• Access to other Gao products that use the same Gao ID.

Messages and media already delivered to another person may remain on that person's device, in backups they control, or in copies they created.

Deleting your account does not remotely erase information from another person's device.

Information included by another user in a report, quotation, forwarded message, or other retained copy may also remain where legally and operationally necessary.

We may retain limited information when reasonably necessary to:

• Comply with applicable law.
• Prevent fraud or abuse.
• Protect users and the service.
• Resolve disputes.
• Enforce agreements.
• Complete normal backup and security-log retention cycles.

Any retained information remains subject to the Privacy Policy and will not be kept longer than reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

Deleting your Gao ID account does not delete your wallet, private key, or recovery phrase.

Your wallet exists independently of Meshii. Meshii does not possess your private key or recovery phrase and cannot recover or erase them.

Public blockchain records are outside Meshii's control.

Deleting your account does not reverse, hide, alter, or erase transactions or other information already recorded on a public blockchain.

Before confirming deletion:

• Review whether other Gao products use the same Gao ID.
• Save information you are entitled and able to export or retain.
• Confirm that you have secure access to your wallet and recovery phrase.
• Remove the account from a device instead if you only want to stop using Meshii on that device.
• Understand that completed account deletion may not be reversible.
